Would You Do Business with Your Brand?

We are now officially halfway through 2020, a year in which the business world was turned upside down and around again...and it's quite possible the crazy ride isn't over yet.

Without the ability to anticipate what the next 6 months have in store for the business community, it is more important than ever to ensure that your business is ready to pivot, adapt, change, adapt, and pivot again at a moment's notice.  Provide customers with the relevant information they are seeking within the first 8 seconds: who you are, what you offer, how they get it.

 Simple text changes to guide visitors to take specific actions can have a significant impact. Tell them what to do and where to go next. 

 Include clear calls to action to mark the next step in the journey: Purchase Now, Schedule an Appointment, Contact Us, Start Today, etc. 

If your brand is in the business of eCommerce, ensure that your shopping process is streamlined from start to finish: 

 offer guest checkout  don't ask for unnecessary information 
 offer adequate payment methods  use form validation and error notifications
 use a progress indicator to guide the checkout process  enable social sign-in for faster checkout 
 send a post-payment order confirmation via email

 utilize responsive design  eliminate the use of Flash Player
 remove blinking or flashing text   reduce page load times

 reduce or eliminate auto-play videos 

 reduce or eliminate the use of stock photography
 provide accessibility features (alt text, for example)  utilize consistent fonts across your website
 ensure your contact information is correct   review your SEO keywords and placement
 Embrace the use of white space  reduce the amount of text per page
 make sure your portfolio is up to date and relevant  remove outdated products/services

 eliminate the use of poor quality photos

 remove expired coupons or specials 
 ensure the contact form works properly
